God’s Word shows us clearly what to expect in these Last Days in our Evangelistic effort to reap the harvest of the earth. These are the Times of Gentile Kingdom.

The kingdom of darkness shall grow weaker while the Church shall grow stronger!

(iv) Legs Of Iron - Roman Government 

(v) Feet Of Iron & Clay- Barbarian nations

Reality Checks. John 12:47-50; Lets Read Is.53:1-12

• Jesus Died For All Humanity yet the Israelites didn’t receive Him. Why. Is.6:10(Is.53:1)

Q: Why are the eyes of Israelites blinded and their hearts darkened?

Why They Will Not Believe.

A: It is so that room may be given to gentiles to come into the kingdom

When the gentiles have all come in then God will open the eyes of Israel again to their need of the Saviour.

REASONS WHY WE SHOULD GO…

1. The “time” of gentiles to hear the gospel is NOW! (Since the days of John, the Baptist)11:12.
2. We have been “SENT to Preach”!

 Rom 10:14-16

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" 

16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our message?"

THE GOLDEN QUESTIONS:

1. SHOULD WE GO?
2. WILL THEY BELIEVE?
3. What about the future of all men who did not receive Jesus Christ as Lord?
4. “What is the future of Jews who do not believe in Jesus Christ.”  How do you convince them to be saved?

ANSWER:  We are in the ‘Time of the Gentiles’ (Rom.11:25)

The Gentiles are non-Jews even if they live in Israel.

Our job remains ONLY to Go and Share Christ with the unbelievers. It is God’s prerogative to convict them of sin, righteousness and judgement. And it is the choice of the unbelieving to accept or reject God’s Provision for Salvation.

TIME[Kairos] OF THE GENTILES’: Our Responsibilities.

 

1 Pet 1:1-13 (Let’s Read it all up together!); Rom.11:25-32;

Heb.8:10-12; Lk. 21:24; Isa.45:17.

All men have to come to the acceptance that they can't come to God except through Jesus.

You need to understand that God is not a God of calendar or winter,you have to know the season you are in,asking God to know the season you are in is very important,if it's to work or to harvest.

As a believer you have to hear from God directly to know which season you are in.
You can't fast for 40days to pass over a season.

Luke 21:24 (NIV)

²⁴ They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

DID YOU KNOW?

• Did you know that most of the biggest miracles of Jesus were done among the gentiles (“Galilee of the Gentiles” or “the people who sat in darkness”)
• Did you know that the gospel of Jesus is the Light needed to dispels crime and vices, etc

WHY DID JESUS RELOCATE TO GALILEE.?

Jesus relocated from Nazareth to begin his ministry in Capernaum (Galilee of the Pagan nations) for two reasons:

1. To fulfill prophecy of Isaiah. Matt. 4:14-17.
2. To model for us need to go where the sinners are. Matthew 4:14-17

QUESTIONS:

1. Why would Jesus relocated from Nazareth to begin his ministry among pagans; even in Capernaum (Galilee of the Pagan nations) ?
2. Why did Jesus preach His first messages to Pagans? People of spiritual ignorance and dark minds.?
3. Why did He chose His disciples from among pagans to reach pagans? Matt 4:18.
4. What did He intend to achieve by choosing professional fishermen? Is there any advantage whatsoever in re-engineering them into fishers of men?

OUR MESSAGE: The Truth of the Gospel

Man is justified by Faith in the finished work of Christ NOT by his good works. By no effort at keeping the Law shall any man be justified.!

 

THE PHARISEE SPIRIT REVEALED: *Luke 11:37-54; Matt 23.

We must beware of the leaven of the Pharisees which is Doctrine of Hypocrisy (Matt.16:11,12).

All True teachers of the Way must be careful of hypocrisy.

Principles Of Pioneering & Church Planting

(A Case Study of The Ephesus Church)

 

Text:  Acts 19: 1-20; Acts 16:1-5

16 He came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named Timothy lived, whose mother was a Jewess and a believer, but whose father was a Greek.

2 The brothers at Lystra and Iconium spoke well of him.

3 Paul wanted to take him along on the journey, so he circumcised him because of the Jews who lived in that area, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

4 As they traveled from town to town, they delivered the decisions reached by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem for the people to obey.

5 So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.”

Events in Ephesus. This probably was how the Church of Ephesus was started.

FINISHING THE TASK - Pastor Tokunbo Beulah Johnson

Our mandate is to reach the Lost in the world.

 

ATTRIBUTES OF THE LOST Or AN UNBELIEVER: Eph. 4:17-19; 2 Cor.4:3,4.

Text: John 9:4-5; John 4:34-36; Col 4:5 (The Living Bible)

John 9:4-5, NKJV

“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

 Qualities Needed To Finish The task are:

1. Sense Of URGENCY:

• We must make haste to deliver on our mandate to reach the world. Time is too short.!
• We must redeem the time. We must Seize the moment.
• You can’t take your time. “Do not begin to say three months…” (John 4:35).

2. INNOVATION:

• We must get creative in preaching the gospel (Share Christian Literature, Make Movies, Create Bible Games, Adapt Fun, Use Technology,etc)
• We must learn to Ride on the emotions of the moment: Be it Positive (World Cup Joy, Excitement, etc) or Negative (Grief of loved oned, etc).
• Look out for any opportunity to share the good news.
• Institute a Soul-Winners’ Box (For Prayer Points)
• Have a visible Tract Stand stuffed regularly with contemporary literature.

3. DEEP INTERCESSION: We must make praying for the lost in our environment a culture. 1 Tim.2:1-4; Acts 16:30.

Too often the Great Commission has become ‘the Great Omission’!

Fundamental to Effective Church Planting or any successful preaching adventure is a Prayer Foundation. Jesus asked us to pray the Lord of the Harvest to send laborers into the harvest field. Luke 10:1-2, NIV.

 

“He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Text: Acts 16:1-40; Acts 13:14,42-44 (PAUL IN THE SYNAGOGUE but far away from Jewish land; and in a Roman Colony).

According to Acts 16:1-40, below are 10 Things to pray about:

1. Pray for the Release of Apostolic Teams; totally united in spirit (Acts 16:6)
2. Pray for Flexibility to adapt to culture but not be conformed to the world system (Acts 16: 3).
3. Pray for Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit (Acts 16:6,7). To know where the Holy Spirit is not asking us to go. Some places may not be ripe yet (and then the next moment they are...! John 4:35 “Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”
4. Pray for Supernatural Manifestations (Dreams, Visions, Discernment, Ministry of Angels) for ministry road map. Lord let heaven open above our churches (Acts 16: 16,25-34
5. Pray for A Sense of urgency to enter the already ripe harvest field (Acts 16:10) to get to work at once instead of deferring to outcome report of ‘Evangelism Committees.

MINISTRY _ CALLING_ Pastor Tokunbo Beulah Johnson

I shared some principles in discipleship (Previous series) from Acts 19 and Acts 16 (A Case Study of The Ephesus Church)

 Today, let’s examine what it means to Be Sent or Called into Ministry Of Evangelism!

Text: Eph.6:1-10; 1 Pet.4:10,11; 1 Pet.5:1-9.

John 20:21 the word ‘Sent’ here is Greek ‘Apostello’ which means to send out on a Mission. ‘Apostello’ was used mostly to underscore a very critical assignment e.g. When Dorcas died Acts 9:38; It is much stronger than the word ‘Ekballo’ which means to eject Acts 9:39.

 

Every believer in Christ must derive their ministry ‘root of title’ from their response to Jesus’ Call to be saved.

18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

Being sent / being Called can be specific or general.

All believers have been SENT generally to do the work of an Evangelist (2 Tim 4:5)
